THE LEGO MOVIE is quite the accomplishment: it’s funny, it’s not dumb, it has a message and everything is animated in the style of all Lego blocks because everything is awesome. Seriously.
GOOD: EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!
The story of a plain-as-white-bread construction worker figure breaking from his shell and basic routine to aid more colorful toys, such as a punk-rock girl, a hyperactive space cadet from the earlier Lego days, Morgan Freeman, and Batman in a quest to save the world from a corporate tyrant is filled with adult humor, kid humor, a fantastic life message, outstanding animation, and pitch perfect voice casting to give you just everything you want in a movie.

BAD: HARD TO FIND ANYTHING FOR THIS SECTION
It won’t always be this bare, trust me. I really liked this movie. I do wish it was a bit longer to give some more characters time, but animated comedy movies need to be brief for the most part. Jokes that are too long get boring and the kids and the kid in adults gets restless if the story drags. In some parts, it did.
UGLY: NOTHING TO SEE HERE.
